Thoughtful bereavement gifts

Welcome back to another Blog. Today, I’ll be exploring a range of thoughtful bereavement gifts and adding some of my own considerations. So if you’d like to know more about where you can find thoughtful bereavement gifts then keep reading

Generic gifts

Flowers

Some of the more generic gifts that come to mind when gifting something to a bereaved relative, friend or colleague tend to be flowers. Whilst flowers are a nice token and will often make someone smile, often they can get lost amongst all of the other floral tributes gifted by others. Flowers also, especially when planning a funeral, are quite closely linked to funeral flowers and that might be something to consider. If the person you are buying for is planning a funeral, then flowers can sometimes make them feel more emotional.

Books

There are some beautiful bereavement books available online, many of which contain heartfelt poems and positive and uplifting quotes to comfort anyone suffering. A book might be a nice option for someone if you are looking for an alternative to flowers.

Charitable Donations

Another alternative might be to make a small donation to a charity close to them, perhaps a hospice that offered care or support to their loved one or a charity supported by them. Making a small charitable donation and documenting this in a card would be a really lovely and thoughtful touch.
