If Heaven had a pantry,

It would sit upon a cloud.

A warm and cosy place to meet,

It would gather quite a crowd.

Stocked to the brim with hearty food,

All would be calorie free.

A place to go for comfort and tasty memories.

A library of cosy treats we once baked together,

Days we hid inside the warm away from stormy weather.

I’ll dream of that cosy pantry so high up in the sky,

As if Heaven had a place to eat and watch the world go by.

But Heaven has no pantry, so I’ll look inside this book.

For warm and Cosy meal ideas, and hearty meals to cook.

A Place of pure nostalgia, to honour your memory.

A place to create my own cards, and store your recipes.

I’ll make these meals with love, and share your favourite treats,

Because at the dining table you’ll always have a seat.

The philosophy behind If Heaven Had a Pantry.

If Heaven Had a Pantry' is a heartfelt collection of comforting recipes and nourishing traditions inspired by love, loss, and remembrance. Just as food brings people together, this space is dedicated to the meals, scents, tastes, and flavours that continue to connect us to those we hold most dear – even beyond this life.

The word pantry comes from the Old French paneterie, meaning bread store – a place of nourishment, warmth, and care. Across time and traditions, bread and the breaking of it has been a symbol of comfort and togetherness, much like the recipes we turn to in moments of reflection and remembrance.

Rooted in the idea that the kitchen and the table are places of healing and shared memories, 'If Heaven Had a Pantry' explores and celebrates the dishes that soothe the soul, stories that honour those we've lost, and a reminder that love lingers in every bite. Whether you're seeking solace in a familiar recipe or creating new traditions, this is a space where comfort is served with every spoonful – Because sometimes, the greatest way to remember is to gather, cook, and share.

BUT... If Heaven Had a Pantry is even more than this.

If Heaven Had a Pantry is more than just a collection of clean, comforting recipes. It is designed to educate and take you back to the foundations of nutrition. Our modern world has led us down paths of overeating, sugar addiction and fuelling our bodies with inflammation. Over time, chronic Inflammation can cause DNA damage and lead to cancer.

When we lose someone we dearly love, just functioning day to day often seems impossible. On top of that, cooking meals and managing change in appetite is an added pressure we could all do without.

If Heaven Had a Pantry takes you back to the very basics of nutrition.

Genesis 1 teaches us that God created ‘Every seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food’. There was a reason why Adam lived to be 930 years old.

Let’s stop overthinking everything we eat, let's stop obsessing over every next meal and give yourself the freedom and comfort to eat the foods that make you feel good. The foods that give you energy to face another day. The wholesome tasty food that sustains you and boosts cellular repair.

Let's all take a leaf out of the If Heaven Had a Pantry book!

After a recent diagnosis in Hosptial, I was given time to reflect on poor eating habits that have kept me in a cycle of yo-yo dieting for years and that is when I decided to learn more and turned to scripture.

Since changing my nutrition to an anti-inflammatory diet, I have a new lease of life, my energy is boundless and I no longer obsess over every calorie and every next meal!

My skin is glowing, my symptoms have eased and I’d go as far as saying it has improved my anxiety and mental health.

Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing with you some of my easy, tasty, nutrient dense recipes for you to to try at home. So that when you just need somewhere to go for a hearty meal then you’ll have meal plans at the your fingertips put together to sustain and comfort you when you need it most.
