A Refillable memorial
Good morning and welcome back to another blog. If you want to learn more about where to purchase a refillable memorial in memory of a loved one, then keep reading.
In celebration of World Book Day this year, I gifted 50 copies of my flagship book ‘If Heaven had a Postcode’ to a number of schools.
Blown away by the response, I am overwhelmed to say that my book is now being used within teaching settings and bereavement groups as a valuable resource for children and young adults so sadly dealing with grief.
In celebration of that achievement, this week I wanted to focus on some of the key features within my book, If Heaven had a Postcode, and how it could help adults, children and families alike to process the loss of a loved one and most importantly keep their memory alive year after year so that they are never forgotten.
If Heaven had a Postcode- The Book
If you’ve visited my blog before then you may already know that the book was born following the loss of my Mother and Grandmother who sadly died within very quick succession.
Having lost the two leading ladies in my life, I found myself grappling with how to cope with my own loss and keep their memory alive for my 6 year old son moving forward.
Though the market was flooded with numerous ‘self help’ bereavement books and blank memorial journals, I couldn’t find anything that really combined the two with the most important feature for me being something that could be added to year after year.
After starting to build my own memorial book, I suddenly realised that I could create my own book to keep forever.
After months of building my own design, writing poetry and creating my own illustrations, ‘If Heaven had a Postcode was born’, It wasn’t until people around started showing an interest that I then decided to self-publish.
The book is made up of 88 pages. Crafted from heavy coated paper, it has been built to stand the test of time.
Within the book are 16 envelopes containing unique refillable elements. Children love the tangible aspect of opening the hidden envelopes and making the book their own.
With plenty of space to add your own photographs, document special memories and write letters to loved ones, ‘If Heaven had a Postcode’ really is like no other.
As you embark on a journey through love and loss, you are reminded to focus on the precious memories of your loved one and add to their memory year after year with the refillable inserts.

This cleverly adapted version is targeted at school-age children, with soft and uplifting poems, riddles and charming illustrations. Bereaved children join Robin and his friends on a journey through the seasons of grief, helping them to focus on happy memories and building a loving tribute to a loved one lost.
With memory recall prompts and grounding exercises, this immersive companion promises to hold the hand of children dealing with loss whilst promoting positivity, forward thinking and communication with those around them.
If Heaven had a Postcode - The Brand
The book has been created, utilising skills and techniques developed from a large proportion of my career dealing with victims of trauma.
Within the book are memory recall prompts which are used during complex interview training to help promote memory recall and reignite precious memories once thought to be lost.
I hope that readers will embark on their journey of grief, feeling supported and uplifted whilst having their feelings validated, with a renewed sense of hope for their future ahead.
I would love to create further books to support children and adults alike with complex ‘life stage’ changes due to: mental health, addiction, separation and other major life changes.
