Spring Memorial ideas - Part 2

Welcome back to part 2, where I’ll be sharing some more spring memorial ideas with you, so if you want to learn about some more spring memorial ideas then keep reading…

Rock painting

Rock painting is a fun outdoor activity that everyone can get involved in. Buy some water-based paint and get creative. You could start this exercise with a lovely beach walk to collect a selection of stones for painting. Why not use the favourite colours of your loved one or paint some of their favourite things? Once your stones are painted you can either keep them on display or hide them in locations personal to you. If you’d rather not use water-based paint you could use acrylic. Why not hide some in your local park or village for others to see, you could add some positive affirmation’s to uplift others.

Daisy chains

This is a lovely idea to share with children, grab a waterproof-backed picnic blanket and find a local country park or village green. Gather some daisies together and then cosy up on the blanket. Each time you thread a daisy tell eachother a happy memory of your loved one or something special about them. Kids will love making the daisy chains into a crown or necklace, you could even add some more colour by adding a bluebell or two.

Picnic

Gather some family and friends together and visit a favourite location and have a picnic, share your loved one’s favourite food and remember the happy times you shared. You could also sprinkle some wildflower seeds at the location. Have fun together and remember the good times, being out in the fresh air and spending time together as a family is so important, to add a small touch in memory of that special someone would provide a lighthearted and happy way to remember them, whilst including younger family members and other grown ups.

Wreath making

Gather some spring flowers, you could get some dried flowers or you could get artificial flowers and buy a wreath base. You can find both of these things on sites such as; Amazon, eBay or High Street stores such as The Range. You could take your wreath to take to a special location in honour of your loved one or you could simply add it to your front door with their name and keep it close to home. Kids will love getting involved in something like this, especially collecting wild flowers or choosing their own artificial flowers.
