How to store memories of loved ones

Welcome back to the blog and today I’ll be exploring how to store memories of loved ones.

Photo albums

Often when we lose someone precious to us, we are faced with the upset of storing many printed photos that may have been passed on to us.

Years ago, printing of photographs was the only way to keep them, which as we know is a far cry from the digital world we live in today.

But with the digital world taking over, many of us still wish to retain original photographs, some may have been written on by loved ones or signed which makes them precious or some may be that dated that we wish to preserve them in their existing form.

If Heaven had a Postcode has been designed so that you can add these precious photos to the book, or pop them inside many of the envelopes inside.

External Hard drives

One way of preserving photos is to scan them into a computer and upload them to an external hard drive, having photos stored onto a back-up device provides a safety belt to ensure they are stored as safely as possible.

If Heaven had a Postcode

If you’re already familiar with my flagship book If Heaven had a Postcode, then you’ll appreciate how unique it is.

This 88-page more-than-a-memorial-book is the perfect space to reflect on precious memories of a loved one.

Part scrapbook, part photo album, and part guided remembrance book, this beautiful book will have you reflecting on precious memories season after season and year after year.

Personalised Memory boxes

You could store your copy of ‘If Heaven had a Postcode’ inside a personalised memory box, there are some beautiful wooden boxes which can be personalised available on websites such as Etsy and Not on the High Street.

Why not buy some stencils and add a family name, you could also decorate with some photographs or even add some decoupage.

Letters to Children

I recently purchased a hardback A5 book from Etsy for my son. I always had such good intentions of scrapbooking once my son was born but life was so much fun it wasn’t my priority.

After losing my mum unexpectedly in December 2022, I realised exactly how precious memories were. So I began writing letters to my son in his own book which I plan to gift him one day.

When you put to pen to paper, something just seems to flow, and with the beautiful memories we build and share together I’m never short of things to write to him and memories to remind him of once he has grown up.

Letters to loved ones

One thing that I wanted If Heaven had a Postcode to include was space to write letters to loved ones that have passed.

After losing my mother, I had no idea quite how much I wish I had said to her before she died. Growing up and having a family of my own, a change in career and other priorities meant that my mum wasn’t always in the forefront of my mind. I wish I had told her so much, I wish I could continue to tell her things and offload the thoughts that often consume me.

If Heaven had a Postcode, is packed with space to document memories and write down the things you wish you could have said to your loved one. I hope this provides a space to unburden any of the thoughts on your mind and for you to reflect on those precious memories.

Thank you for being here today,

I truly appreciate everyone who visits this blog and takes the time to read more about my book.

Sending love to those that need it,

Sabrina x
